Good story, but the reality is there are tons of good stories in the big city. The writer and Maya fail to talk about the really bad stuff. The drugged-out psychos: both "providers" and "hobbyists." (Yeah, I know the lingo, plus I'm an active hobbyist.)

The real drama and violence that occurs in this business, just like driving a car, means sooner or later you will be "robbed" by a provider or her manager who's a "rob," maybe beaten or killed.

Very real, very true, and a book I, too, would pick up if available, of a tale of a lady in this type of business and all that comes with it.

I'm so glad to see a writer write something positive about my mother. She is a great and loving woman. When you wrote that she would give you her shirt off her back, that is LITERALLY true. She had just bought a new shirt and one of the girls loved it. She said "Oh Mama Maya I love that shirt, it would look cuter on me."

First off, how rude! But I digress. She kept hounding my mother until she finally gave in a took the shirt off and gave it to the ignorant girl. Why did she need my mother's? Couldn't she just go buy the same one? It's rare my mother buys herself anything to begin with...

So I would like you all to keep an open mind and try not to judge her. She's a survivor. She built her house 30 hours a week, worked 40 hours a week, and raised three children by herself. All at once. Tell me of a man who can do that. And she is so loving and caring on top of being a strong woman. When I came out to her when I was 14 and told her I was gay, she looked me in the eye and said I love you just as much as I loved you when you were born. You are still the child I gave birth to and I will never stop loving you. Who you love doesn't change how much I love you. As long as you're happy, I'm happy... I cried like a girl!

Thank you all for taking your time and reading my mother's story. I love her to death and would defend her to my grave.

Love,

"Ian Jr."

P.S. Why Ian Jr? Couldn't you pick something cooler like Magnus Ver Magnusson??? Waaay cooler!
