Kudos to you for pointing out the completely biased article in the ContraCosta Times. Talking about the crowded race and then only mentioning the one candidate is a clear example of the biased reporting of the traditional media. Makes me wonder who Ms. Vorderbrueggen is working for: the newspaper or the candidate she obviously supports.

How much does a candidate "pay" for coverage like that? Is this kind of coverage showing us the true reality of backroom politics at their best? Moreover, Ms. Vorderbrueggen does her favored candidate a grave disservice. She's failing to point out to her readers (and presumably Mr. DeSaulniers's supporters) that there actually is real competition in this race.

I'll also point out that in the online version of the ContraCosta Times the ENTIRE comments section to that article was filled with Mr. Hampton's supporters. Mr. Hampton enjoys wide support from not only CA10 residents, but indeed all over the world. And as a social networker, Mr. Hampton knows how to motivate grassroots support.

This race will not be won or lost in the traditional media, nor in traditional ways. It will be won or lost in the social media landscape. Mr. Hampton is the true frontrunner in that realm.
